A Christmas tree, a fireplace and a dog.

A true family portrait. You'll probably see this one next year on our Christmas cards.

Snow!Snow!Snow!

I got this one just before Gus almost pulled Ethel into the ravine. The dog just didn't know what to do with all that snow.

This is Zelda. Zelda is Dustin's dog. She is part Doberman, part Rottweiler, and 100% lovey. She needs more attention than any other dog I've met. As you can see, she and Tucker are sharing a pillow. That's about the only thing she'll share with Tucker. If there are 2 or 3 bones out, she will find them all and stack them around her so that he can not get them. If they're small enough, she'll put them in her food dish and eat around them. Despite the sharing conflicts, they get along great!

This is Tucker's friend Denali. Denali is Stacy's dog. We take turns dog sitting for each other when we have to go away on business. It rained for about 10 minutes before I let these two out to go to the bathroom. I think they found every mud hole in the yard.

Noah's Ark

Hey every one. I just wanted to show off my Noah's Ark picture that I had to draw for a History project. I know that it doesn't look to good cause of it's lack of color. But I didn't want to color it. You can see most of the detail that I drew on it anyway. It took me maybe an hour and a half. I was pretty excited about how it looked and what grade I got on it. 100% A+ BABY!!! Well I hope that ya'll are feeling well and or better. It snowed here again this morning. YIPPY:) Kind of like it has off and on all week.

Also if you didn't already know i did make the basketball team. I was really excited to hear the coach say that he wanted to keep me as a player. Mom will have to take pictures when games start and I can send them to everyone. Well got to go. I will talk to everyone later.

Beautiful Scenery

The top picture is taken from standing in the yard looking back toward the house and down the road.

This picture is the Garden area (yard). It is to the right of the house leading into the forest. Very quiet and peaceful area. Ethel you would love it here. I thought of you when we were standing in the yard admiring the peaceful country side.

House Hunting

Hey All of you Hesler's how are all of you doing? I
wanted to post the pic of this house we are looking
at to rent. It is approx. 170 Sq. Meters (1800 Sq. Ft. )
It has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is nestled
in at the edge of the neighborhood leading into the forest. I thought it would be fun for all of you to see what a typical German house looks like. This particular house used to be some type of mill and the village it is in was an old mining area. I will try and post the scenery around it. Absolutely beautiful.

I hope all is well with everyone. Love to all!!

Amazing!!!

This is what our sanctuary looks like now. It is so much prettier then before. It looks huge from this picture but it isn't really this big. It is a little smaller. I just cant believe the change. If I can I will try to get a picture of what it use to look like. It was dark and cold, but now it is bright and warm. Well I hope that you all like it. :)

Catchin' and Umpin'

Dad umping and daughter catching. HA HA that's to funny. This was a tournament with the ambassadors team and we are playing against Holland. It was an ok game, dad did pretty good behind the plate. It has been a long time since he had been back their. He also struck me out. That was not cool. The last strike he called on me was at my chin. Specially not cool that mom even got it on tape. LOL Oh well what are you gonna do. I guess love him. LOL

Across the Miles but Near to the Heart

Now that the holidays are quickly coming upon us I find myself thinking about how much I miss all of you. Sorry Katy and Lana I have been so focused on shopping for Christmas gifts that I spaced sending you two birthday gifts. I hope the two of you can forgive me for my one track mind. Though, I have been having a lot of fun trying to pick out unique Christmas gifts for everyone. There are so many different things I could buy so it is making it rather difficult to just pick one thing for each one of you. Some things have very hefty prices so that keeps me from just going crazy with the ol' pocket book.

I can't wait to see how people decorate over here for the Christmas season. I have been told that the Germans really go all out. I will definitely be taking pictures in and around the different villages that we go through. I thought maybe you all would enjoy seeing their festivities and lights through pictures that I could post on here.

Now for things going on here at the home front. Amazingly, there is really nothing to exciting going on with us. Missing Chad like crazy is probably the hardest obstacle we have had to face over the past few months. With God's grace and strength we are getting through it one day at a time. Kaylin has officially finished her 9th grade studies. YEAH!!! Moving on very quickly with her 10th grade curriculum. What we thought was going to take 4 weeks to get here got here in two weeks. She was overly excited to see that package. HA! Ya Right. My new job as an Educational Aide is going very well. I absolutely love the 4th graders. They are a wonderful age group to work with.

Please keep our family in your prayers as for the next couple of months we will still be apart. And that if God sees it in his will for us to expand our family with adoption or biological children in the near future.

Hugs to All

Shugar and Sillouette

THE BLACK GATE

My mom and I went to Trier with a few friends. The wall behind me is called the Black Gate. This gate use to surround the town of Tirer but it has now been blown up and only small pieces remain.

Me in DC

Making sure the upload image works....

The Start of the Hesler blog

Hello Hesler Family,

Since we have begun to span the globe with relatives in Germany, Florida, Iowa, and all over, it occurred to me that we need a way to keep up with each other besides just at weddings and other family events. After discussing this with my Dad, Ethel, and Katy, we thought it would be a good idea to have a Hesler blog. This way we can post things about ourselves to keep other people informed of our current status. We can give each other support and sarcasm online. I will continue to work on this site based on any comments you might have. I think we need to include family pictures, birthdays, weddings, and upcoming events. Let me know if you have any thoughts or idea on how we can make this a good application to keep in touch.
