The top picture is taken from standing in the yard looking back toward the house and down the road.
This picture is the Garden area (yard). It is to the right of the house leading into the forest. Very quiet and peaceful area. Ethel you would love it here. I thought of you when we were standing in the yard admiring the peaceful country side.

This looks quite rural and beautiful. Where is it? I didn't know there was that much unused land available in Europe. Is the fence something that completely surrounds your yard? Will the dogs be able to run in your yard?
The town that the house is located in is called Imsbach. Yes it is very rural. The fence does completely surround the yard and garage included. In Germany from village to village all you see is farm land and rural areas. It is nothing but rolling hills and green space. Now in other parts of Europe it may be crowded. Also in Germany the larger cities like Kaiserslautern are much more crowded looking and less green space/rural areas.
Sorry I haven't commented before....Chip just set me up on "my side" of our computer. You are right, Windi, I would love this location; the setting is beautiful. Thanks for posting pictures!
