Across the Miles but Near to the Heart

Now that the holidays are quickly coming upon us I find myself thinking about how much I miss all of you. Sorry Katy and Lana I have been so focused on shopping for Christmas gifts that I spaced sending you two birthday gifts. I hope the two of you can forgive me for my one track mind. Though, I have been having a lot of fun trying to pick out unique Christmas gifts for everyone. There are so many different things I could buy so it is making it rather difficult to just pick one thing for each one of you. Some things have very hefty prices so that keeps me from just going crazy with the ol' pocket book.

I can't wait to see how people decorate over here for the Christmas season. I have been told that the Germans really go all out. I will definitely be taking pictures in and around the different villages that we go through. I thought maybe you all would enjoy seeing their festivities and lights through pictures that I could post on here.

Now for things going on here at the home front. Amazingly, there is really nothing to exciting going on with us. Missing Chad like crazy is probably the hardest obstacle we have had to face over the past few months. With God's grace and strength we are getting through it one day at a time. Kaylin has officially finished her 9th grade studies. YEAH!!! Moving on very quickly with her 10th grade curriculum. What we thought was going to take 4 weeks to get here got here in two weeks. She was overly excited to see that package. HA! Ya Right. My new job as an Educational Aide is going very well. I absolutely love the 4th graders. They are a wonderful age group to work with.

Please keep our family in your prayers as for the next couple of months we will still be apart. And that if God sees it in his will for us to expand our family with adoption or biological children in the near future.

Hugs to All

Don't worry about birthday presents silly :).

I'm sure Germany will be beautiful. I hope you can post pictures as I would love to see them. How's the German going?

I love the title. You could almost write a book with this one. I'm sure there's many things you'd like to write down especially with Chad gone as well. Good books are written from the heart and I'm sure your heart is writing it's own memories right now. Thanks for letting us know and actually wanting to keep in touch. You're so far away and it would be easier for some to just forget what they've left behind and start anew.
