The sun is rising, air is crisp, leaves are turning, and Fall is here. It amazes me how fast it seems the seasons come and go. I love Fall! The other day I was driving home from work just admiring God's Creation, realizing that almost all of the leaves have started to change into their fall attire. How quickly it came upon us. I was trying to imagine those leaves of orange, yellow, gold, red, and browns staying attached to the branches throughout Fall and Winter. What a sight that would be to see those colors peeking through all of the falling snow. Although, a bare tree with snow and icicles hanging from it looks beautiful too, I just love the fall colors. We are studying about trees and nature in Science with our 4Th and 5Th graders so I guess that is what has been on my brain lately. I mean, as if you can't tell by reading my blog.
School/job is going great. It is already time for midterm progress reports. Our students continue to be wonderful individuals and just thrive to learn more each and every day. During the course of the day I sometimes just sit and watch them and you can almost see those wheels turning inside their expanding minds. The 4 spec ed students that I am assisting are getting to the point where they are working on their own. I am so proud of them and their already achieved accomplishments in only 5 weeks of school. They make my job exciting and easy. This school year has been off to a great start and I foresee it progressing into a wonderful and very successful year.
Chad made it through the 6 weeks of Airman's Leadership School. Great Job Honey! He received an award for Distinguished Graduate and his Diploma. We are very proud of him. Now he is working very hard to get through his classes which are an Inductive Bible Study course and Theology 202 course. Chad after much praying and discussion with the perspective people decided to go for a Bachelor's Degree in Science of Religion. That might not be quite right but it is very close if it's not. Again, Kaylin and I are very proud in all that he has accomplished this last year (really through the years) but this last one has been very busy for him. The amount of hours he has put in with his schooling, work changes, being a patient and understanding husband (sometimes I'm hard to undestand), and supportive father. Thank you Chad for the sacrifices that you make to lead our family in God's ways.
I hope this blog has caught all of you up on the Hesler's life in Germany. I do apologize for not writing more often. I do want to add one thing. A prayer request for our Grandpa Hesler. He recently come down ill and just want to pray for his health and salvation.

Update on Grandpa......all tubes, wires, and miscellaneous apparatus have been removed and he is now out of ICU; praise the Lord! Please be praying for me to garner the courage to speak with him about his salvation. It is a blessing that God snatched him from death; now it is our responsibility to make the effort to open his heart to receive Christ. Love and Blessings, M-I-L
So glad to hear from you again. You sound like you are just really happy and content, I love it. I wish I could see fall, just more triple degree temps here. I would love to meet Chad someday, need to have all the stars align to be in the same place at the same time! Sounds like grandpa is doing better as well. Can't wait to see pics of your beautiful fall season!
I also just got caught up on your life. It's so difficult sometimes to get on the computer.
I am now working for Winstein, Kavensky & Cunningham in Rock Island. It's a good size law firm and I am the only paralegal that knows Iowa Work Comp and Personal Injury so it keeps me pretty busy.
Unfortunatley I won't be posting Cassie playing softball until I can get my computer fixed.
I saw Kaylin in the stands at the world series. I was so excited when I heard she caught the cermonial pitch. I bet you were pretty proud as well.
I hope you will be able to come home sometime soon. We miss you all so much. We are definetly going to have to get things aligned correctly and get you and Laurie home at the same time. It would be nice if ALL of the cousins could get together again. I'm not sure that will ever happen though. I would love to get another family picture like the one that was taken when we were younger and had Thanksgiving in Illinois City. Can you imagine the size of the camera we would have to use to have EVERYONE in it. It would be wonderful.
